SUMMARY
Poetic Prescriptions for Plaguing Problems answers questions we may ask ourselves when the chips are down: Where is God in all this? How can I get Him to answer my prayers? Katherine Norland invites anyone who is hungry for salvation to come with her on a pilgrimage through the plagues, pestilence, and heart-wrenching struggles of Life, where trials must be faced and devilish temptations eradicated until each battle is won. Ten years in the making, this book shines with the pure intention to help lead others out of the spiritual vacuums of their own making and into The Light of God's Grace.

It seems that only God can change my ways;
With Him I’d get my cheese and leave the maze.
My body tires out and I collapse.
Look up to see I was just chasing scraps.

REVIEWS

"This book will appeal to anyone who is hungry for spiritual growth and willing to accompany this bruised, but triumphant, poet on a pilgrimage through the plagues, pestilence, and heart-wrenching struggles of life, where trials must be faced and devilish temptations eradicated until each battle is won with the one-two punch of telling Beezlebub to 'Buzz off!' and believing that God does indeed hear our prayers, if we have the courage to pray."—Midwest Book Review

"Katherine Norland presents a truly fantastic look at the Christian approach to self-help... This book will certainly reward those who have faith and seek the solace of God’s teachings in their overcoming of fear, addiction, depression, and other issues, but there is also much hope and comfort for the less religious in this very effective volume."Readers' Favorite [5-Stars]

"A must-read for those who find themselves searching to find themselves. What wonderful imagery in describing current issues that people from all walks of life can relate to! The author bares her soul in self-reflection, making me feel the emotions in her words as she journeys toward healing through her faith and belief in God. I applaud Katherine for sharing her gifts!"—Artemis Craig, Author of Inspirational Verse for Those Who Hunger and Thirst: A Book of Poems to Feed the Soul

"Just when you thought everyone sounded like everyone else, God drops FRESH right in your lap! Katherine Norland not only gives us a new perspective on "everything," but also a bold, risky, enjoyable read."—Pastor Mel Ayers, In His Presence Church, Woodland Hills, Calif.

"For those avid poets and all who love poetry, I believe this will be one of their favorite books, filled with the struggles of life and the personal processes needed to work it out."—Steve Shultz, Founder of the Elijah List and Elijah Streams TV Program.

"The BEST book of poems that I ever read...so deep, rich, healing and powerful. Counselors should give their patients this book."—Pastor Mel Novak, Los Angeles Skid Row and Prison Ministry

"A powerful, emotional, and unapologetically open masterpiece...reality-based spiritual medication. Just what the doctor ordered!"—Wallace Demarria, Actor/Playwright/Director, NAACP Award Winner
